About the project:
The railway helped build the west and still is a major carrier of goods across Canada. These tracks head toward the old town of Rosevear, Alberta. The community was named for J.M. Rosevear, a railway clerk. Only a few buildings remain of the early settlement that many called home from around 1915 until the early 1970’s. A number of the original homesteaders families still farm in the area or own land. The Rosevear ferry is one of only seven remaining ferries in operation in Alberta.
